KANAAE Announces Classroom Grant Winners
posted by: Alix | January 10, 2012, 05:10 PM

KANAAE is committed to offering individual educators various avenues for improving their effectiveness and student outcomes. The teacher scholarships provide teachers with funding to pursue additional teacher trainings, attend graduate school, or specialized conferences. The classroom grants are offered to educators to supplement the costs of student-focused projects or activities. Both awards are available to all Kansas educators.

"KANAAE applauds the dedication that these Kansas teachers have exhibited through their submissions," said KANAAE Executive Director Garry Sigle. "These scholarships and grants are an investment in empowering teachers as professionals across the state."

The fall 2011 grant winners are as follows:
  • Ms. Deb Duncan, Meridan
  • Ms. Heather Honas, Council Grove
  • Ms. Janet Kriley, Mankato
  • Ms. Karen Kimmi, Horton
  • Mr. Ryan Noel, Valley Heights
  • Mr. David Rebant, Horton
The KANAAE scholarship and grant competition is held twice a year in the fall and spring and is open to all Kansas educators. The spring deadline is March 15, 2012. Apply online today!
