ABOUT KANAAE KANAAE is a non-profit, non-partisan, association of professional educators that offers many of the same benefits that the teacher unions provide at a fraction of the cost of belonging to a union and without the partisan politics.
KANAAE was formed in 1997 by a group of Kansas teachers who had become concerned about the perception of public education in Kansas. They also felt disenfranchised by the political activities and tactics of teacher unions particularly at the national level. They wanted a truly professional association that was focused on restoring respect and esteem for our nation's schools by working with parents and school administrators not against them.
KANAAE is non-partisan. In fact, the association is not political. While we will actively engaged in public policy debates concerning educational issues, we will not endorse or contribute to political candidates of either party. We also will not get involved with controversial social issues. While those issues may be important, we feel they are matters for personal decision and action and should not be the focus of a professional educational association. KANAAE invites like-minded educators to join a PROFESSIONAL association! Contact us at info@kanaae.org |
